Eating on the go

Being a Boss Babe is hard work – you’re constantly hopping from casting to casting, then spending long hours on set getting those shots, then you’re off to another country for a few months! Then when you get back, BOOM! Back to castings, shoots and travelling all over.

One question I have received quite frequently is, “How on earth can I stay healthy and eat clean while I travel?” It may seem like a tough one, but with a few tips and tricks I can help you see that it’s not impossible to eat clean and travel the world!

This weeks tip on eating clean while traveling is to look at how you are preparing your meals. If you are rushing out the front door every morning at 6am, it’s going to be hard to get up earlier to prepare your meals for the day. One way to get on top of your clean and healthy eating while you are away is to prepare your food the night before.

Meal prep is wonderful for many reasons. It helps eliminate temptation, and it places the control back in your hands with what you would like to eat. You’re not at the mercy of every restaurant you happen to walk past! Meal prep is also a massive time saver, so you can take those extra few minutes in the morning to get your head in the game before a big day. You also end up saving money, and eliminating waste when you prepare your meals the night before!

Here is an easy recipe for you to prepare the night before!

~ O V E R N I G H T  O A T S ~

1 scoop x Chocolate pea protein
1/2 cup x Gluten free oats
1 tbsp x Chia seeds
1-2 tsp x Coconut flakes
1/2 cup + a healthy dash x Hazelnut / Almond milk
1/3 cup x Blueberries
Toppings – You can also change these to your desired fruit preferences!
1tbsp x Coconut flakes

Place all of your ingredients into a bowl (except the toppings) and mix well to combine.

Once you’ve reached your desired consistency, place into a jar for storage and sprinkle your toppings over for that extra crunch. Close the lid and place in the fridge to set overnight and enjoy on those busy days!

If the consistency is too thick in the morning, just add a little extra milk!
