In this post we are going to be chatting around sleep (or rather lack there of) and how you can
incorporate a few exercises in to aid in a good nights rest!
Working out is beneficial in so many ways. It aids in stress relief, boosts your alertness and
attentiveness, and it can definitely help out when it comes to your quality of sleep. A good nights
sleep is also extremely beneficial to your overall health. Poor sleep can lead to weight gain,
interfere with your concentration and productivity, and can even lead to depression.
Here are some helpful exercises that you can do to improve your quality of sleep!

  • Aerobic / Cardio Exercise
    Cycling, swimming, running – all of these exercises get your heart rate going and are proven to
    help you get that good nights sleep that you deserve. Your sessions can even be as quick as 10 minutes!
  • Strength Training
    Building those muscles leads to improving your quality of sleep. You will fall asleep a little easier,
    as well as find yourself not waking up throughout the night. Strength training includes shoulder
    presses, bicep curls, tricep dips, squats, lunges and calf raises.
  • Yoga
    The variety of stretching poses in yoga combined with breathing exercises will especially help you
    out when stress is keeping you awake. Keeping consistent with your practice also helps you fall
    asleep easier.
